It was indeed very shocking to hear the news of your passing ma, I wondered how can such a beautiful creation of God die so early, but then I know this life is not our home, we are just passing through it, I know you are resting in the bossom of your maker........ Keep resting ma, your thoughts will always be held dear in my heart.

Sister mi Yeside as I fondly called you, when I heard the sad news, I was numb, felt a lump blocked my throat and it felt like I heard it in a dream. It did not make any sense. I wanted to dream or cry but my brain could not process the whole thing to enable me express the feeling. You stood by me like a mother and even during the planning of my wedding, engagement, reception, et al, you stood by me. You’re not just my cousins, you’re a big sister, mother and friend. I don’t know how to bid you goodbye because I didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye to you. Rest well in the Lord, sister mi, The strife is over. Jesus won the battle for you. O di’gba o. Watch over your boys if possible.

Dear Tunji, Lanre & JJ, My condolences on your mum’s untimely passing to glory! Who are we to query Almighty God?! I pray God comforts you all, and replaces your grief with gratitude for the beautiful years she spent loving you and raising such outstanding men! Aunty Yeside ,I have fond memories of you especially during my teenage years. I remember how I will silently pray that you come visiting when I have" Knotty" issues to resolve with my mum because I knew she would listen to you .( i am sure I would have made several calls to you to come over if there were mobile phones then)Then I would table my "requests "before you and you intervene and put smiles on my face. I would visit you and pack some of your clothes back home.....(that used to give me a lot of pleasure )You were the unpaid MC at our 10th birthday celebrations and even wedding introductions.I won't forget your unique voice and the way you called my name.Rest In Peace Dear Aunt

Our journey on the life train started on that beautiful day in 1970 when for the most part all our paths crossed at Queen School, Apata Ganga, Ibadan. Beautiful memories We have of our darling Yeside.... Gone too soon! Our barrister who loved her profession and celebrated her brother’s success as an SAN so passionately on our forum that she became our “SSAN ( Sister to a SAN)”. Our “Paparazzo” who passionately took pictures, captured and posted every moment as if you knew time was of the essence.... your posts were filled with gratitude for every precious moment. You shared your entire family pictures especially your several grandchildren! You were blessed and content! Our “Iya Oge of Egba land “ as we fondly called you with your peculiar gele and fashionista attributes. Yeside loved God. Each Sunday you would share photos with us on your way to church. We all loved you, our Yeside ❤️ In 2012, you connected with a few of us on Facebook and continued to push us to come together again. Your efforts resulted in the setting up of a WhatsApp group / The Elegant Ladies, that brought our set together again. You wrote in 2015..... "I just want our reunion to take place jor!"..... "How is everyone doing and when are we meeting? ...,,," That’s our Yeside..... very caring & thoughtful! And behold there was a pause and we didn’t hear from you again not knowing you were on your sick bed. We called, we sought, we wrote but your wish was to let you be. Alas! the shocking news came that you had left our life train for the bosom of your maker. We thank God for your life and will forever hold our memories of you in our hearts. We love you but God loves you more. May the Lord comfort and strengthen your entire family. We pray for the repose of your gentle soul.
