Condoleances

Rosemary Rademan

To all the dear Seynaeve family, my loving sympathy to you on the passing of your precious Mother and grandmother. My memories of Yani are from when Nats and Louise became good friends/partners in crime at St Dominic's. It was a home from home for Louise and. Yani was greatly admired and respected. Her quiet unassuming self, so very capable of anything she put her hand and mind to. I had a bottle of home dried bayleaves in my kitchen always having been so impressed that she didn't just buy them. Her catering skill at the various school functions and home parties was amazing. Her delicate outer appearance said nothing about her inner strength and I pray for her beautiful soul to Rest in perfect Peace with her loving God. With my love to you all Rose Rademan

Danielle Kruger (nee Raynor)

My grandparents (the Van den Eynde family) built their home in Elspark, neighbouring the Seynaeve family home, and were friends for decades. My primary school years were often spent at the Seynaeve home too, visiting my friend, Nathalie. I was always warmly welcomed by Yani, even if no-one else was home yet, and allowed to play the piano. I remember her family hospitality in the kitchen, with popcorn, snackwiches and cooking. In the garden there were swings, badminton, swimming and tall pine trees to climb. I remember a beautifully decorated Christmas lounge, and the melodic French Yani spoke. I remember a beautiful family and a beautiful woman instrumental in achieving all of this. Our thoughts and prayers to all, Danielle, Hein and Hannah

Such an awesome lady with a lovely sense of humor. I will never forget her. In Dec 2016 we were emmigrating to New Zealand and had sold our house. Hubby was already there and our furniture had gone but Kirsten and I needed somewhere to stay for 10 days. I was stressed out and mentioned it to Nats. Yani did not know us but opened her home/guest cottage to us. We had a remote, keys to her home. She even gave my 6 fantail goldfish a home in her pond. Yani, you made such an impact on our lives in a very stressful time and offered help when our own longterm friends didn't. Thank you special lady and may you forever rest in peace. Our sincere condolences to the family and her friends

A ‘Mom’ to Us All, Everybody who visited the Seynaeve’s home in Elspark will remember Aunty Yani as always being ‘mom’ to them all, no matter what was happening, she always made time to us. I remember her in the kitchen, making koeksisters and vetkoek, wow, she knew how to cook and bake. My time at the Vaal Dam was great, there was never only a few people, everybody gathered around and had a great time. I take great comfort in knowing that both mom’s will be sitting having a much needed catch up, mine drinking black tea with 3 grains of sugar, and yours black coffee please, oh the memories………….. they will never fade. Thank you Nathalie for keeping in touch and yes, my emails will continue weekly from Australia, please take care everyone and I’ll be thinking of you all. Jackie

I remember the days, when I used to jump the wall to visit Anita. I would knock on the kitchen door and be greeted and welcomed in, by Yani. She was always so welcoming and always offered me drinks and food, whilst I waited for Anita to get ready. I would hear the French music playing in the background, with Yani singing softly to herself. She was an amazing mother and her love, honesty, friendliness and hapiness, ireflected through her children. This is why my love for the seynaeves will always be there. My deepest condolences go to all of you and i am always here for you all. If there is anything I can do from Australia, please do feel free to reach out to me. Sending lots of love ♡ Gregg and Tate Raynor
