Daddy, it has been a great pleasure knowing you. Thank you, sir, for the warm reception in our telephone conversations. Thank you, sir, for raising such a loving, selfless, and diligent daughter, in the person of my sister-in-love Oluwatoyin. May your soul rest in peace. May the Lord comfort and heal the family.

My dear Egbon, Sun re o! I will never forget you. You were such a loving and caring person, always generous and friendly. Whenever you visited Akure, you never failed to stop by my mum’s shop, your aunt, to greet, play, and chat with her, myself, and others. You truly showed so much love to the entire family, especially to me, and your presence will be deeply missed. Your kindness will forever be remembered. To my dearest uncle, whom I affectionately call "Daddy," Agùntáṣǫólò, Oyinbo Falade, your gentle and quiet spirit has always brought peace to my heart. After the passing of our father, you seamlessly stepped into his shoes—not only as an uncle but as a father figure, a role model, and a pillar of strength for our family. Your visits to Akure were always filled with joy, as you showered us with love, gifts, and words of encouragement. During your visits, I was always excited, and we would all gather around you, enjoying your company. Those times were full of laughter and love, and we always looked forward to them. You had a heart so generous and a soul so kind, always giving without expecting anything in return. Even in your calm and quiet ways, your presence spoke volumes. You brought a sense of security and warmth that we could always rely on. Now that you have left us to be with your Maker, I am comforted knowing you are reunited with our dad in heaven. Please give him our love. We will forever cherish the memories of you both and carry the lessons you’ve taught us in our hearts. Rest well, my sweet Daddy, until we meet again. My father.... So sad to see you go Never in my life have I met anyone so honest in his dealings with anyone. Through how you lived your life you taught me what it means to be a man of integrity. You taught me what it meant to be diligent in all I do. No matter the situation, you were always fair and just. I wish we had more time together, because I will never have been the man I am today if it wasn't for your exemplary way of life. My dad didn't tell me how to live right, he showed it to me. And for that I will always be proud of my dad. Rest in peace daddy, may your legacy continue to live on in our lives.

I remember when we were very young and loved going to Uncle Willy's house (we called him Uncle Willy), Seun and I would play and run around. Uncle Willy' was a fine handsome man, and I liked him back then. I saw Uncle weeks before he passed on, as we had things to do and I was going to his house. The passport photograph I helped him snap is still on my phone. Well, such is life, we all grow old and will pass away some day. Uncle Willy, rest well in God's blossom.
