Verle Garrett

So sorry for all of you. What a huge loss. She was always so full of energy, kind , funny gregarious. She had great stories to tell. I loved hearing about the times when Dave ( Gagnon) lived with you guys. She was the best but I’m grateful she is no longer in pain. Wishing you all healing in time going forward. Keep her alive in good memories especially the funny ones!!!!

I knew Verle from Viking. So sorry for your loss. Verle was in the grade behind me. Sounds like she was a lovely person. Too bad we lose touch with school friends over the years.

The world lost a firecracker! Sympathies on your incredible loss! Verle was full of compassion, conviction, and was able to put everyone at ease and bring them together. Witty and always quick with a hilarious response! A wonderful friend and confidante and I really trusted and valued her opinion. You'll be missed, Verle! xo

Last week I lost my lifelong friend VERLE. My sincere sympathy to Ray,Sloan and David, Scot and Jen and her brother Doug. Growing up at the “ Gas Camp” north of Viking provided lots of great memories .It was always Verle, Laureen and Bev doing everything together. In our adult years work and family separated us but the bond remained. When Ray and Verle moved back to Edmonton it was like we were never apart. We would get together with former class mates, have a few drinks, telling stories over and over, laughing as we were hearing them for the first time.Verle had an amazing sense of humour, kindness,patience,sense of justice and was a friend to everyone she met. She will be missed.

So sorry for your loss Ray, Scot and Sloan. Looking back I am very grateful to have been able to visit and catch up the last few times I was in Vancouver. Most of my precious memories of Verle are of when we all got together as kids at Grandmas and in Drumheller. She will be greatly missed and wish there was more time, unfortunately time passes all too quickly. My best to you all in these hard times. Cam Garrett

Verle was a very beloved, integral member of our therapeutic yoga class for the last 13+ years. She always had time to talk, a kind word and a laugh to share. Her light hearted, warm presence was a joy and blessing every Tuesday morning. She was a true friend to us all. She spoke with love and pride of her sons and husband often. We are heart broken to lose our dear friend. She will be remembered and honored always by her yoga buddies. We share deeply in your grief, and offer our most heartfelt condolences.
