Theophilus Oladele Afolabi

Having written my loving memories of my Uncle in the memories section, I’d like to extent my condolences to the entire family here and to the larger family of God. We have all lost someone special and the vacuum this loss has left can never be filled. To the immediate family, Aunty IB, Tolu, Toba and Moyin....God will hold your hands through this... To the extended Family, God sees our tears and hears them as they fall...He understands and will console us all... And to the Family of God, let us pray for one another, so that we all will heal together to His glory! May the Lord see us all through, in Jesus name, Amen

I don't recall anytime I wasn't impressed by uncle Dele's aura; from my 1st encounter circa 1983 when it dawned on me he was at our house to take my dear aunt away in a move that seemed we'd never see her again till the last time I saw him at mom's 70th birthday, uncle Dele remained the ever understanding, friendly, loving, supportive, kind-hearted, intelligent, smart, vastly knowledgeable, godly, inspirational character with a stern yet approachable aura and sense of character that only a true and clear understanding of service to and love of God and humanity can impress upon only those who harness the grace so freely given by He whom we serve, the God Almighty. He loved his job, his work, his plants his machinery, the soil and everything agriculture related & lived it till what today seems the end to our human eyes and minds. I'm convinced he smiles down at us in his ever encouraging manner saying "pep up!". He'll live with us forever in our hearts even as his soul rests eternally with His maker, our God just as we all wish to be when we answer the divine call. Good night, dear uncle.

Uncle Afolabi, as we fondly call him is a man who depicts the character of God, a representative of his Creator. Uncle as you have finished your assignment, I know God has received your spirit and you are now at the feet of our Creator. I know we will meet again and sing all those songs you loved- with you blasting your tenor.. you may be gone from this earth but your legacy lives on in us. Adieu for now..

To God be the Glory for a live well spent. Elder Theophilus Afolabi ( Senior Theo) was a very honest, loving, caring, devoted, dedicated Elder. and a loving brother. We miss you. We love you but God love you more. I pray that your gentle soul will continue to Rest in perfect peace till that resurrection morning when we shall meet to part no more. May God continue to take care and protect the entire family left behind Amen. Senior Theo was a very strict leader but caring and jovial.
