Accidentally, I met Mr Taofik Alawiye, 'Oga mi' in 2010, in my client's office without knowing that was his father. The first thing that struck me about him was how simply he was dressed. By early 2011 he had become my very close friend, business partner, and confidant inspite of the age difference His life thought me humility, honesty, compassion, generosity, appreciation and very strong faith in GOD. He was a very reliable friend and associate who was blind to one's tribe. I lost a reliable friend and he is sorely missed by my immediate and extended families. Daddy, you have left a big void in our lives, we love you but almighty God loves you more. Thank you for your accommodating, loving and giving nature. I will personally miss our sessions of advice and mentorship. I pray that your children reap from your kindness towards everyone that crossed path with you. Daddy Alawiye is well known to me. and he took me as his daughter. He was a family friend, an unassuming gentleman. He was a very nice and caring father and husband. God bless him and May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Daddy!the news of your death came as a rude shock to me. You have been an amazing father to me, yes I say father because that is exactly the role you play in my life despite the fact that am not your biological child. As a neighbour for the past twenty one years ago,he was a very compassionate and adorable character to associate with. We will greatly miss you. May Allah grant you ever lasting peace.
