Tanesha Norman

This was my mother Tanesha I remember her she always cared for her family and friends if you needed help she would help you she was the most important person to me I miss her.

I write this with a heavy heart, with tears dripping down my face. I can not believe you’re gone. I’m only finding out from our other friend Jay Edwards today. I’m in total shock. I was 26 years old, she was 21, she called me Marcel (my names actually Oye’), I called her Tammy, and for the past twenty years we teased, we sparred, we fought, we laughed, we lived and we loved. Tammy, you once called me a coward because you knew we had a deep mutual love of each other, a truly unique and special bond, sense of humour and chemistry which you felt I betrayed by not having the courage to commit to us. It must be true because I keep crying for you since you went away. My heart is broken and the tears just won’t stop. You truly were unique and special, beautiful, proud, intelligent, clever, funny, fierce, loving. I first met Tanisha when we both worked at Highgate Jobcentre. She was a popular and likeable young lady. She had an infectious laugh and a warm personality. Our children went to the same school. Thinking of Tanisha automatically brings a smile to the lips of those who knew her because she loved life. She always had a smile and enjoyed a good joke Thank you, dear Tanisha for the great privilege of having known you for many years. I know you are still here among us. Thank you for reminding us that the present moment is precious, and that we should make the most of it by loving fully and generously. Spread your wings and fly proudly, Tan. You have earned it! I can vividly remember the first day Tanesha came in to our office. What a beautiful and lovely lady. Tanesha had everything that a man would desire in a woman. The first lunch we had triggered a lot of conversations. I asked her a question if she has ever travelled out of the UK and she said no. Tanesha, I am so touched by your departure. Thanks for the advice you gave me concerning my job. Our last conversation focussed on how I gave your name to my niece in Ghana and you told me aaaah I will tell my mum. I miss you. I love you but God loves you more than I i do. May your soul rest in peace. Why do you have to leave without saying good bye.The morning I wanted to call is the same morning they announced your departure. Dear Tanesha, I am so sorry that I couldn't catch up with you before you left. I do really miss you. Tanesha au revoir...

I would like to convey my deepest condolences to all Tanesha's family and friends. I knew her from Hornsey through my sister Aliza. She was such a lovely young lady with so much character. She was very bubbly and friendly too. This is very sad news, especially hearing that she is leaving beautiful children behind. May Tanesha's soul rest in eternal peace.

My condolences to Tanesha's family. Me and Tanesha went to the same primary and secondary school. She had an amazing energy, during science class we had the best time catching jokes, always cheer me up when I was sad, she will be missed. Rest in eternal peace my Queen xx
