Sumon Ahmed

Sumon Ahmed, Additional Regional Election Officer of the Election Commission (EC), died of corona. He died at 11 a.m. on Monday (January 24) while undergoing treatment at Shahid Mansur Ali College Medical Hospital. Deputy Secretary of the Election Commission Rashedul Islam confirmed the information. Earlier, eight people, including an EC regional election officer, a senior district election officer and an upazila election officer, were killed in Corona, EC sources said. So far, more than two hundred EC officials and employees have been affected by Corona.
