Sucha Singh was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He was an inspiration to all and because of his dedication and tireless work, he was able to provide a better future for the entire Gill family. He was endlessly kind to everyone he met and he connected to all generations, whether it was his own peers or his loving grandchildren. He was dedicated to his family and gained the respect and love of many people throughout his life. No matter what you wanted to talk about, he always had time for you. People would naturally gravitate towards him for his guidance and advice. He achieved so much whilst keeping his patience, humour and humility at every step of his journey. He will be missed beyond measure by the entire family and leaves a large void in our lives. We will love him forever and with every chapter ahead, he will always be with us. We thank him for the legacy he created for us all.

A fitting send off for a great person who will no doubt be immensely missed by everyone who knew him. The speeches at both the crematorium and the gurdwara were delivered with dignity and had a common theme; a portrait of someone who lived life with a smile. The lovely tribute video further evidenced the hard work, passion and love that characterised Sucha Singh as a person; for some it was an emotional history lesson for others a nostalgic time for reflection. Before we go back to our daily lives it’s worth a reminder of some of words heard today. Our time on earth is limited, some say written, so make time for your loved ones, family & friends. Gone too soon, rest easy, keeping smiling down and may waheguru be with you.

Brother Sucha, I am privileged and honoured to have known you and your family (and extended family) for many many years. A warm caring, loving, generous family man. I have very fond memories enjoying quality time with you at trade days, conferences and family weddings. You treated me as family...for which I am truly blessed and grateful for. I won't mention our karaoke evening in Tenerife...we were a duo waiting for a number one hit!! Bless you Brother

Very sad news and my thoughts are with Pindi and the rest of the family. Mr Singh was one of my first Cash & Carry customers that I called on, selling cider 33 years ago to Thames and he was an absolute gentleman to deal with over several years. Always looking for the best deal for his customers, always challenging, but equally a fair and welcoming man to work with and someone who taught me a lot about how to deal with customers. A good man.

I’m so proud & blessed to have called this amazing human being ‘my mama’. Mama-Ji was the pillar of our family, our protector & my hero. A loving husband, father and grandfather, his family was his world. My mum was also so blessed to have my mama as her elder brother - a brother, a friend and her rock. Through all the accomplishments and successes my mama remained so humble, always lived with a smile & made time for everyone. This huge void will never be filled & life will never be the same without him however I am sure he will continue to be our guardian angel, remaining in our hearts forever.
