Steven Coates

Steve was a true gentleman, he started each day with a cheery ‘Morning!’ and willingly helped anyone that asked for his support. He always had a smile and kind words, remembering discussions and following up on things he had assisted with. I will remember him fondly and his family and friends are in my thoughts.

Steve was a true Gentleman always willing to help without a thought. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

Steve was a truly lovely man; an approachable, friendly and reliable colleague. He will be dearly missed from the Department. I would like to pass my condolences on to his family.

Steve was always ready with an infectious smile, he was very knowledgeable, keen to help anyone and a real gentleman. I enjoyed working with him in Estates IT. I would like to pass on my condolences to his family.

Steve was a wonderful guy, i had the pleasure of working with him in Estates IT Services for several years. Steve always made me laugh and he was great to work with he would do anything for anyone nothing was ever too much trouble. i will miss you Steve RIP....

So sad to hear about Steve, he was such a lovely, lovely guy. He was always happy to help with anything and did it with a smile. He was the type of guy that was a pleasure to bump into on campus as he always had time for a chat, to ask you how you are or to tell you a story. Taken far too soon. Thinking of all his family of whom he always spoke so fondly of.

I worked with Steve when I first joined Media Services and he was a just such a warm and friendly person. I always remember him telling me about his son being a vet and the animals he had adopted. Thinking of his family at this time.

I am so saddened by this. Steve was in all honesty one of the nicest and most genuine people I've met in my entire life. It was an honour to work with him. He truly was one of lifes extremely rare good guys. You'll be missed Steve.
