I will always remember how Steve bravely wore shorts even in winter, wish I was that strong to do so! And his love of Hobnobs biscuits. He will be greatly missed, he was such a fun person with a great sense of humour. Much love to his family. Rest in peace, Steve xx

Steve was one of the first people I met when I joined Cardiff University Registry. The man loved to show off his chest hair and his knees on a regular basis, this never failed to put a grin on my face, especially in storm weather. When we were obliged to be in the office pre Covid, one of the highlights of the day was hearing Steve (very loudly) attempt to answer the phone with a Welsh greeting. Often saying "Bore da" in the afternoon and vice versa. I will miss you Steve. You were a good man. I hope someone else within the Registry team takes up the shorts mantle in your honour. Rest in Peace, buddy.

Very sad to hear of Steve's passing, always enjoyed the times we walked across town to the station, Steve with his wry comments striding out in those shorts, whatever the weather and me huffing and puffing to keep up both with his stride and his comments! He'll be missed.

Steve was like no-one else I have ever met. He always made me smile and laugh. He was a quiet soul but had many one liners and was always up for a laugh. I remember when he passed his driving test and we were trying to get idea's for his Birthday as he was so hard to buy for, so i managed to get out of him, that he like Sade. so this is what we got him, along with a blue furry dice. I will miss you Steve. Thoughts are with your family. Lots of love Roz xx

Steve was just Steve. Very unique personality and my kind of sense of humour- dry. He was always doing all to help students with queries, very dedicated to his job. I only knew Steve last 3 years and I must admit that I was always smiling, absolutely always, when I seen him in the office. Why? Because when I met him first time I thought he was a postman as he was always in his shorts and trekking boots, no matter the weather! I have never seen this man in long trousers! His passing was total shock to all of us who knew him. I felt deeply saddened by it. RIP Steve. My deepest condolences to family and friends.

Steve was a lovely person. I know that I missed seeing his face in the morning when I was in full lockdown and lately as I have been coming back in to the office more. I'll miss him, I extend my thoughts to all of his family, for which this must have been a great shock. Please take comfort in our thoughts and expressions to know how much he was valued.

I was very sad to hear about Steve's passing. He was fairly quiet but clearly enjoyed coming to work with us in Student Cases and had a lovely way about him. He seemed to really enjoy dealing with the cheating in exams cases and presenting the evidence, going the extra mile to present it in a way that made it easy to follow. He was always very pleasant and always said hello, he will be missed. My sincere condolences to Steve's family x

I was so saddened to hear the news about Steve. He was a true character and will be missed by many. My thoughts are with his family, his friends and those colleagues who worked so closely with him over the past few years.
