Stefan joined Buckman in 2012 as a Sales Representative. His passion, knowledge and talent for tissue applications led him to become a key member of the tissue team. Later on he was promoted to Tissue Industry Technology Manager. Stefan had most fun at work when dealing with complex issues during trials and working side by side with his colleagues. No doubt he has left a legacy which we will have to take forward in his memory. Special thoughts and prayers go to Stefan’s loved ones, family, friends and colleagues. It is with a heavy heart that I remember the day Stefan came to Gent for his job interview. HR met with him first and advised not to interview him! I decided to meet Stefan anyway to show respect. Craig Knutton and I were meeting that morning. I asked Craig to come with me to explore the tissue side of Stefan. We both discovered diamond in the rough that was only missing a little confidence. The rest is history. Hiring Stefan was one of the best decisions in my career. RIP Stefan.
