Sophie Ward

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sophie. Although our time together was brief, her warmth, friendliness, and incredible attitude left a lasting impact on me. Her willingness to help without hesitation and her genuine appreciation made me feel truly valued. It is heartbreaking to know that such a vibrant soul was taken from us at such a young age. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time. I can only imagine the pain you're experiencing, and I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May you find strength and solace in the beautiful memories you shared with Sophie. Her spirit will continue to live on through the lives she touched. With deepest sympathy

In class, Sophie was always a cheerful and fun person to have around. She would make me smile every time we saw each other. I gasped in amazement when Sophie displayed her work in class. Her outstanding art was both motivating and inspiring. Sophie and I saw each other very often outside uni, because we lived in the same neighbourhood throughout the academic year. Every time we walked past each other, we would engage in a bubbly chat and I was always impressed by her "don't waste a single moment" attitude. She always had her days brilliantly planned and full of activities: “Checking out this park!”, “Going to a vintage market!” Bonding over our similar family heritage, I felt a special connection to her, especially as she had been one of the first people I got talking to on my first day at University. She made that first year at Wimbledon considerably brighter and my days happier. I will be forever grateful for having known her, and she will leave a hole in my heart. Thank you, Sophie, I will miss you.

I was shocked and so sad to hear about the tragic death of Sophie. She was a bright student who produced some brilliant work on her course, especially for Unit 5. I know she will be missed by her friends and peers on her course, her tutors, and all the staff and students at Wimbledon College of Arts. My thoughts are with Sophie's family and friends.
