I have just come across this post and absolutely gutted to have read this, my thought are with all simons family and friends, Simon was my brothers mate and lived Just up the road from us, simon was a big part of my childhood and we had such a laugh especially with the golf clubs on Blurton high fields, always remember going cinema with Simon and my brother to watch Wayne’s world

I can only express my shock and disbelief that Simon is no longer with us and has been cruelly taken way too soon. Simon was a lovely, quiet chap with a very dry and witty sense of humour, his China Clones series on Facebook was always a delight and highlight of social media for me and showcased his amusing musings. He adored Vicky and her family, who welcomed him with open arms, as well as caring passionately for animals, mainly cats, especially his own rescue cats Angel and Cena, a fellow member of the mythical and exclusive Cat Club. He was also a major film buff and collector of film memorabilia and definitely a 'proper geek' in my humble opinion, which is the highest accolade that can be bestowed in geekdom, and something that I always admired, appreciated and respected in him. He'll be sorely missed by all who knew him and sincere condolences to Vicky and the family at this incredibly sad time. The world will be a sombre, less amusing place now that he’s longer in it. xxx

Simon, you will be sorely missed by so many people. I sadly didn’t get to spend much time with you in person but your Facebook posts/comments would always make me chuckle. A very dry sense of humour! China Cones and stories of R Aba in particular! Sleep well Simon x

I was so sad to hear Vicky that your beloved Si had passed away so suddenly. He was a true treasure and I remember him sweeping you off your feet all those years ago in the office. I am sure there was never a dull moment living with Si and his facebook posts were a legend (mainly about you!). His funny lines and sense of humour will be greatly missed but I am sure Vicky you will have special memories to make you smile every day. Quite clearly you have so many special friends and loving family that will get you through this and be there for you. Love Sue xxx

Simon was incredibly funny, unmatched in his wit and one liners meant there was rarely a dull day in the office. incredibly talented at his job, a dedicated husband and the biggest animal lover i think i have ever met. on top of that he was also a fantastic Mentor and leader, thank you for everything.

No words can really describe how sorry I was to hear about Chi. Someone so unique will never be forgotten as we will always cherish our memories of him. My deepest sympathy goes out to Vicky - may the constant love and support of your caring family and friends help you through this very sad time. xx
