I worked with Shre and I can't quite believe I'll never get to speak to him again, he was the kindest man and always believed in me. It's thanks to him that I confidently lead an employee resource group on ethnic minorities and it wouldn't have been possible without him. He wasn't just a colleague but a friend as well, a kind soul who ALWAYS wanted the best for people, he pushed people to be better and was a pleasure to be around. He had such an uplifting and positive energy, one of the most caring people I had the joy to know. I'm so sad that we never got around to going for another coffee... Until we meet again, rest in power to a dear friend, you will be so so missed.

This shocking news has still not sunk in completely for me. As I am in India and not seeing anyone in person and only mode of communication is virtual, it is being very very difficult to comprehend the full extent of this loss. To me, it feels like he is still there, the warm loving and caring person with a very big heart… Shre was such a compassionate human being and was unanimously loved by all. He made sure to personally connect and enquire even about very small things and never ever failed to encourage or praise. I remember this time last year his mother and my mother travelled together from India and he was so so happy. Can’t even imagine the terrible heartbreak of his family - Aunty, Sophie and Sam, my heart goes out to you all. May God be with you and help you overcome this huge huge loss. Sam, in you we see your father’s image - the same calm and composure, the same compering skills and the same big heart. We love you all. It has been a real privilege to know you Shre, your positive outlook to life will live on inspite of everything But can’t help but say that you will be terribly missed and this is a very big loss to our community.

This is heartbreaking news and my thoughts go out to Shre's family. He was my mentee at work last year and was always incredibly kind, talented and humble. Everyone had a positive word to say about Shre and be will be incredibly missed. His family should be so proud of him.

Shre was an amazing person, one of the most sincere, honest and loving person I have met. He referred to me as 'Didi' and always said that I must have been his Didi in a previous life! I felt the same. I remember him greeting 'Ma' with respect, making sure she was comfortable in the huge crowd in Durga Puja, that she enjoyed the ceremony, how thoughtful! He was a great father! I remember him discussing the fascinating topic of tissue engineering with Sam and him introducing me as his Mashi who engages in all this! Regenerating the heart! He was equally interested in dance, music, poetry, theatre, as we all know. Always appreciated what we did. It was such a pleasure and honour to have him as the male compere in Robimoy's program about Tagore's women. The sincerity with which he prepared the script with Susmita and Abanti was second to none! And of course his compering along with Susmita was of astounding quality! Shre, my dearest brother, you will always be remembered with respect, love and fondness. Not sure where we all end up after this life, hopefully the soul remains and we will meet again someday..... With ALL my love Ipsitadi

Shre My Dear, Just can't come to terms with losing you. Your forever smiling calm persona will always remain in our thoughts. You were always so respectful towards one and all. Your selfless service to the community will always be remembered by everyone. HPCA will forever be indebted to your massive contribution in promoting our culture. Not just that, you did the most difficult job of fund raising as a committee member and leaving a legacy from which we are benefitting. We love you Shre and will look to celebrate your life at every opportunity. I know that you will keep smiling from up there. Rest in Peace brother.

Shre, Never realised I had such a short time to spend with you. We spoke about bringing Chandril to your show, never happened. If there's another world, will sit down with you at some point. You, me and the Blue Bottle.
