Shawn was a giant in the enthusiast photographer community in Shanghai. As a professional photographer, he was tireless and extremely generous with his time, helping many photographers starting on their artistic journeys. His passion for the format and encouragement was infectious, and his commitment to the betterment of the individual photographers is never waving. He passed in Germany from a mysterious immune condition after fighting the good fight for over two years. He will be missed.

It is never easy to lose a loved one. My desire is that you find consolation in the promise of God found in Revelation 21: 3-4 that says that soon, "He, will cleanse all tears from our eyes, and death will no longer be, nor will there be more mourning or outcry or pain." We will see all of our loved ones when they are resurrected in a beautiful paradise here on earth, my deepest sympathy to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you are experiencing. However, Jehovah God is someone who always knows how you feel and wants to you bring you comfort and hope. His Word the Bible promises: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34 verse 18) I hope this brings some measure of comfort to you, knowing you have someone to depend on while you endure the pain. No matter how long we live know someone when they pass away it is never without heartfelt pain. I am sorry for your loss. We still have our special memories to help us through this difficult time. I have been helped by this scripture found at 2 Corinthians 1:3,4, “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation.” I hope this brings some comfort to your family.

Shawn, we did business many times together and I was amazed about your honesty and generousity by trading even we never met in person. I appreciate all you gave me by talks in your last days, especially your trust. Hope you are relieved and found your peace.
