Shafkat Hussain

My sincere condolences for your loss. Dr. Husain was an amazing Oncologist, a wonderful teacher & mentor and, above all, a great human being. He had a warm heart, an endearing smile and an impressive work ethic. I consider myself lucky to have been trained by him at Coney Island Hospital - newly two decades ago. He will be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. May his memories sustain us all in the years ahead.

I am very sorry to hear the news of Dr Hussain's passing. My deepest condolences to his entire family. Dr Hussain was a good friend of mine at least for the last 25 years. After he retired, whenever he comes to Coney I used to meet him on the 9th floor in his previous office along with his colleagues, I miss him. Dr.Hussain was my teacher ,colleague and friend who taught me how to practice medicine and more importantly how to live life the right way .He will be missed by all ..Rest in peace Shafkat Krishnan

Sena, Zahid, Naseem and family: Please accept our heart felt condolences on the demise of a kind, caring, great physician, mentor, friend and human. We were his trainees and then colleagues at Coney island (1992-2010). Dr Hussain was a good and kind teacher. I have never seen him raise his voice to anyone in my entire association with him. He was gentle, always with a kind smile and worked hard for his patients and trainees. His long and dedicated service to Hematology/Oncology at Coney island Hospital will be remembered by his patients and trainees for ever, May he rest in eternal Peace.
