Sarah Dodwell an OD, Wellbeing & Staff Engagement Manager (previously a HR Manager for many years at BWC) and an important part of our People and Education Directorate, passed away last week following a long battle with cancer. Sarah loved her role working with managers and teams to encourage and support them to develop and grow. She had so many amazing qualities but her biggest was probably how much she cared, always going above and beyond to support people to fulfil their potential, which she did with amazing energy and a joyful spirit. We will all miss Sarah and will find ways to celebrate her life and keep her memory alive. This space is for you to share your own memories, thoughts and to celebrate her life. Sarah's husband Chris has asked for us to share our memories, so when the time is right we will share this board with him and the family.

Sarah was such a pleasure to work with, so caring and considerate with a great sense of human. She was a tremendous support to me with all the HR investigations, particularly writing those reports. She was a real people person and the staff loved her and found her a great support. A lovely lady who will be greatly missed. Sending love to her family, colleagues and friends.

You will be so missed Sarah that I have struggled to find the words. We should have been celebrating your 40th birthday. Cancer first brought us together and then we became work colleagues and friends. You were a cake-loving, tea-drinking inspiration, amazing at your job and fantastic person to be around.
