Sangeeta Guha

I was saddened to hear of the passing of such an amazing person. Sangeeta was so kind, so caring and so committed to helping others. She was the ultimate civil servant, working hard every day to improve the lives of Albertans. I am grateful for the time that we had together. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I offer my sincerest condolences to Sangeeta’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of briefly working with her on the Prairie Provinces Water Board Committee on Groundwater where she was so very well respected. She will be dearly missed.

I am truly devastated to learn about the passing of Sangeeta, with whom I had the privilege of working closely as a student back in 2007-2008 on geospatially digitizing Alberta's groundwater information from existing hard copy maps at the AGS. Our collaboration created a bond that extended beyond our professional endeavours. The news hits me particularly hard because I had the chance to see her in person for the last time in 2019 at an ESRI conference. We shared conversations, exchanged ideas, and connected on a deeper level during that event. Sangeeta's warm presence and unwavering dedication left a lasting impression on me. Words cannot express the profound sorrow I feel at this moment. Please accept my heartfelt condolences as I join you in mourning the loss of such an incredible individual. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration during these difficult times.

Losing Sangeeta was such sudden and very sad news. I am deeply sorry for the family, friends and everyone fortunate to have known Sangeeta that must cope with the absence of an empathic, generous and kind person. My heartfelt condolences and thoughts are with everyone through this difficult time.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Sangeeta's passing. I had just talked to her 2 weeks earlier. My sincerest sympathies for the Guha family and all her friends. She was a very skilled colleague and always so positive. I will miss her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope the memories shared will help the healing from losing her way too early. Sangeeta was such a gentle and caring soul, and will be dearly missed. She contributed so much to the groundwater world, and the work of transboundary groundwater.

Very sad to hear the news about Sangeeta. She was among the first hydrogeologists that I met when I joined the department. Always a very skillful and willing collaborator, not to mention a very pleasant and cheerful colleague. Despite her many degrees (and perhaps on-brand with her many degrees), she was always keen to learn, always providing careful and well thought out contributions. My condolences.

I came to know Sangita after I moved to Oxbridge Place from Baker Centre. She had passion of gardening and we used to talk about plants and gardens. I still have Russian spinach seedlings she gave to me. Last year she wanted some seedlings of Russian spinach from me. We had set a date for Saturday, but she was unable to come to my place. It is pretty sad to loss a good friend and colleague.
