Sam Young

I will always remember Sam as being such a warm and kind person with a great sense of humour. I was one of many who worked on the same corridor as Sam for a few years at RJAH, and I always enjoyed our conversations. Sam’s response to attending our 80’s themed Christmas party will always make me smile, ‘Footless tights, fingerless gloves and ra-ra skirts? I was there in the 80’s. I can show you how it was done! I’m in.’ And she did indeed show us all how it was done dressed as Madonna! Sam and her joyful energy will forever be missed. Sending my love and condolences to Sam’s loved ones xxx

Sam even though I only knew you for a short period of time at Shropcom (you were also my Manager for a few months before I left the Trust) your kindness, care and genuine compassion was so evident. Sam your care for patients, staff and ensuring everyone had a voice alongside striving to make such a difference was inspiring. So blessed to have worked with you and thank you for being such a beautiful soul - I will always remember you. Xx thoughts are with all of your family and friends. Xx

Even though I had only known Sam for a relatively short time she made a really big impression on me. Always warm, smiling, chatty and hugely supportive Sam was such a lovely person and I was deeply shocked and saddened when I heard about her tragic passing. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones. I'll never forget her.

Sending my very deepest sympathies to Sam's family and loved ones. I was privileged to work alongside Sam during the Covid pandemic at the Covid 19 hot site. Clinically astute, patient-centred and compassionate, Sam had all the incredible qualities of a brilliant colleague and excellent clinician. She was humble, hard working and kind. Her quick wit and infectious smile made every Thursday a happy place. Since the pandemic, I have been lucky enough to see Sam blossom and flourish, hearing her sing and laugh has been a joy. Such a wonderful voice :) Sam, you were a truly inspirational shining star, beautiful inside and out, missed by us all x

I was shocked and saddened to hear the sad news of Sam's death. I met Sam when she joined the CCG and enjoyed working with her, she was funny, caring and compassionate always looking at ways to improve patient care. Sam was well known and very much respected within the health system and will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

Sam and I worked together at the urgent care centre for Malling and at the Covid 19 hot site. A passionate and well respected Advanced Nurse Practitikner and true professional. A tragic loss to the NHS, patients, colleagues, friends and your family, so sad , sending my condolences xx

I wanted to express my condolences to her family, friends & other colleagues. It was such shocking and sad news. I really enjoyed my interactions with Sam. She was kind, caring & full of common sense, as well as very knowledgeable. You always felt heard when you talked to her, and she had a great sense of humour. She'll be sorely missed.
