Aaahhh My sweet Safaa my sweet caring girl I will miss you So people didn't know how much you contributed to my Gambia Barrels (I send second hand clothes footwear bedding anything that can be used a little bit longer ) Safaa was a big supporter always bringing me bags to send not only second hand but she would put in new things she was very thoughtful always shouting Cazza I got a bag for you we would meet in car park like dealers lol boot to boot with our bags So my sweet Safaa always remembered & missed p.s you still owe me some Pakora you said you'd make me :-) may Allah grant you the highest Jannah until we meet again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Beautiful Safaa, the embodiment of the term midwife. Always smiling, always helpful and kind, just the best. Our hearts are broken. You will always be remembered.

I am so very sorry to here about the loss of Safaa Alam. My heart go's out to her family. May God rest her soul.

My dearest Safaa. Anyone who worked with Safaa would always be greeted by such a beautiful smile, perfect lipstick, lovely teeth and such enthusiasm! Having been in the trust a long time now l have worked with many younger midwives but Safaa stands out for me for her compassion.and caring nature. She was not only a great midwife but most importantly a lovely person inside and out. Safaa was a joy to work with always kind and caring to those in her care and to everyone who had the great pleasure to know her. I remember handing over a complicated case to Safaa, there were still many things l wanted to do and l was prepared to stay to finish this off. Safaa was having none of this telling me she would sort it out and l left knowing that this lady would receive fabulous care and all my little jobs would be completed. The nurse/ midwife shone through in her and she was brilliant at her job. It was impossible not to love safaa. Christmas Eve Safaa went to everyone wishing them a Happy Christmas, she was such a sweet young lady. It’s a terrible loss for us all at the hospital to lose such a wonderful friend.I cannot imagine her family’s sorrow but l hope that they take great comfort in knowing how much she was respected and loved at work. Rest in peace dearest Safaa.

I would have never imagined 2 years ago when I appointed you to the risk management midwife role that not only I would have gained an amazing and competent colleague but also a beautiful friend. I cannot begin to explain how much I will miss you and your smile, enthusiasm and straight talking. But also your support to me and the rest of the team. Oh how we laughed everyday when you would arrive with a different bright lipstick, of course designer, and we would all tease you that we are clearly paying you too much! I will so miss seeing all your expensive stationery lined up in front of your PC ready for another day's work and you telling me off for the amount of notes on myside of the office, sorry! You will be pleased to know that I have now mastered the curry cooking process you taught me and the bag of spices you supplied me with will keep me going for years. I will miss your spontaneous texts to me and the rest of the team telling us not to bother bringing lunch as you cooked too much and it had our name on it, amazing how many people found their way to our office on those days. But most of all I will miss your enthusiasm for work, nothing was too much for you and every task I allocated you was always completed at a very high standard, I felt so relaxed going on leave and leaving you in charge even though I know you were probably cursing me!! I have so many things to say about you my lovely friend but I don't think I can find the words. And yes I know you are probably very disappointed that I am typing this and not using posh Paperchase paper to write it on! I hope your beautiful family find some comfort reading all the beautiful tributes to you But for now it's not a goodbye, it's a see you later until we meet again xxx
