Ronnie, You were a LEGEND you will always be a legend.. Honour to have know you And I'll always be appreciative of you kind help and support nto me and AER ❤️❤️

My thoughts and prayers are with Sylvia and the family. Ronnie had a great presence and had the respect of musicians for putting on great shows and showing leadership in providing much needed performing platforms for the local songwriter scene. He had many friends in Music and had his own vision of how things should be done. We (The Long Stay) has many memorable nights playing for Ronnie at the many venues he ran. He had a whole lot of connections and was well liked. I had the pleasure of doing a songwriter collection album from the Lansdowne (the lansdowne sessions) with Ronnie and Vic, which I think said a lot of how he wanted to help and feature local acts. I lost touch with Ronnie, but saw him at one of the Lagan Sessions gigs last years. It was nice to connect again, he had looked very well then. I’m sure there’ll be a few gigs needing organized upstairs now... Fondly remembered, Sean and The Long Stay.

Thinking of you all. Ronnie made a phenomenal contribution to the Irish music scene & will not be forgotten. RIP+

My heart breaks from afar on this sad news that you're gone. We had only spoken at Xmas so this is so much harder to take. You gave me my first real chance on a stage with my original songs after so many years writing in secret. You encouraged me to share my feelings from the heart, even if it was hard. You gave artists like me the space to reveal our deepest feelings in song. Thank you for giving us so much of you. You will be missed my friend. I'm deeply saddened to hear of Ronnie's passing. What a gent he was - and his efforts to develop and promote acoustic music in Northern Ireland were heroic. It was always a pleasure to be in his company, and his kindness to me will never be forgotten - I'm sure there are dozens of other musicians out there who would say the same. Condolences to Ronnie's family circle.

Thoughts and prayers with Sylvia and all of Ronnie’s friends and family. Ronnie was a gentleman who showed the same care and respect to every person he’d meet. His loss leaves a vacuum in the music community here, his presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Like many of my peers in the local music community, Ronnie provided me with my first opportunities at sharing my songs. The Lamppost Cafe and Society Sessions and also the Landsdowne Sessions. Without these opportunities, I wouldn’t have been able to share my songs. He was always gracious and encouraging. It really made me feel part of a community that crossed all of our so called, ‘Barriers’. He shared his love of music until the end. Rest in peace Ronnie. We won’t forget you x

Ronnie was a wonderful guy and will always be remembered with great affection by so many, selflessly supporting and showcasing local musicians. I enjoyed our wee chats at The Lamppost Cafe sessions, always great company. Much love to his family and Sylvia at this sad time.
