Roger Hamilton

Roger came in to my life while working as secretary at Matathon High School. He had a special way of knowing what you needed…. a word of encouragement, a listening ear some laughter and most of all a friend. His favourite place next to his camp at hidden lake was “the garage”. His knack with seeing the beauty in wood was amazing. Rest In Peace Roger.

Mr. Hamilton was such an incredibly kind man. Whether you ran into him in the halls of MHS or around town he always offered a smile, a story, and often a great joke :) I am grateful I had the opportunity to know Mr.H. Keeping all of his family in my thoughts and prayers, and sending my sincerest condolences. God bless

Mr. Hamilton was a wonderful friend to my dad - a part of the history of Ontario Street and Marathon High School - many will learn about Marathon's military story because of his dedication and hard. Most importantly he was a true family man. My condolences to Mike, Dana, Teri and his grandchildren and all those who loved him. PS Because he "encouraged" me to take Miss Barna's Home Ec in grade 9 I learned many valuable skills that I thought I would never use but really have used many,many times! Thanks Mr. H!

Uncle Roger was a great man and he will missed by all. We had many fun camping and fishing trips and Roger would always teach us new things along the way. I have tried to pass along his joy of the outdoors to my 3 boys and now we enjoy many outings together. I’m sorry we can’t be there in person but our thoughts are with you all. Take care
