Robert Slavin

It is with collective sadness and shock that we at Lindamood-Bell express our condolences to the Slavin family, and to his colleagues at the Success for All Foundation. In reading Bob's last blog announcing the launch of ProvenTutoring, it was so compelling and inspiring, and we are truly honored to be affiliated with his vision to make a real difference for struggling students. We will work hard to continue the important work he started.

Much love to Nancy, Jacob, Ben, Becca, and your beautiful grandchildren. Bob’s vision is clear in our hearts and in our minds. We will honor his memory by continuing the work with relentlessness and kindness. Bob’s voice in my mind reminding me of our most important purpose, always the children.

Deepest condolences from all at Hawes Side Academy, Blackpool. It was a pleasure to have met such a remarkable man and we will continue to be inspired by all that he believed in.

I am so saddened to hear of the news of Bob's passing. He was so wonderfully brilliant, kind and humble. This is a tremendous loss for the Johns Hopkins, SFA and the entire field of education. On behalf of the countless students and teachers who have benefited from Bob's work over many decades, THANK YOU for your lifelong service Bob is fondly remembered and will be missed. I pray for comfort for Nancy and family during this very difficult time.

I want to send my prayers to Dr. Nancy and the family. Dr. Bob and the SFA family taught me so much about great company culture and caring for our students. His teachings, warmth and caring heart were a tremendous influence on my career and my belief in what Dr. Bob always said “doing what’s good for kids”. He was a beautiful human being and he will be missed immensely. So grateful to have crossed paths with him.

It was an honor to work with Bob and Nancy and the rest of the folks at SFA. Bob's (and the foundation's) commitment to leverage research and evidence to serve the needs of our most vulnerable students will serve as an inspiration to the field that will outlive all of us. My deepest condolences to Nancy and the rest of the family.

We never would have felt ready to say goodbye to someone as special as Bob. He has touched so many lives for good. Sending love and condolences to Nancy and the whole family.
