I have included the last email Richard wrote to me and my team, as I believe it serves as a meaningful tribute to a true legend and a fellow motorcycle enthusiast. Subject: Re: Your Gross Over-Achievement (Please Stop) Hey Steve, I'm writing this email through gritted teeth, just so you know. Word reached the rest of us—the normal people—that you didn't just meet your monthly target, you apparently smashed it, vaporized it, and then possibly used the rubble to build a shrine to your own efficiency. Thanks a lot. Now the rest of us look like we’re operating at "leisurely stroll" pace. I guess congratulations are in order, even if this means the rest of the quarter's targets are going to be set by your freakish, over-caffeinated standards. I assume you sold a kidney or promised a major client your first-born child, because that level of performance is frankly suspicious. Enjoy your victory lap, but please, for the love of the team's sanity, consider taking a very long lunch break tomorrow. Or better yet, teach the rest of us your dark magic. A stalwart of the industry and a very well liked engineer and man, always there to help if needed, with some great advice, he will be massively missed. My thoughts are with your family at this time, rest in peace Rich.

My sincerest condolences to Richard's family and friends, I remember my last conversation with Richard fondly, talking about his recent holiday to the Cotswold's and his visit to Bourton-on-the-Water and the surrounding area. Richard will be greatly missed by all.

I only had the chance to work with Richard for a short time, but his warmth and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on me. My heart goes out to Richards family during this incredibly difficult time.
