Piers was a well-respected, bright and knowledgeable professional, but also a kind and thoughtful colleague and friend who supported and was appreciated by many of the colleagues and market professionals he interacted with over his career. He was a vocal and passionate Spurs fan, and a strong supporter of gender equality and above all, a dedicated family man. Piers was a proud dad and husband, who would relentlessly, every Monday morning, tell us about his family and his children’s incredible achievements at school or on various sport grounds. He is sorely missed and our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time. We would like his friends and peers to be able to celebrate his life and express their condolences and share some photos and memories through this website.

What a shocking news. I had the pleasure of meeting Piers at work and carried through many conversations over phone regarding family and sports especially cricket. Piers was such a phenomenal person and a friend who will be deeply be missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Piers several years ago. He was a client that was always thoughtful, knowledgeable and honest. I truly enjoyed our conversations regarding structured products but more often found ourselves talking about his amazing daughters and wife. I remember during the COVID years he was so proud of his daughters for creating their own online businesses. I am in utter shock to find out about his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family.

Piers was one of the first colleagues I met when I joined the bank many years ago. Without exception he was always a pleasure to talk to whether the topic was work or life related, especially when we were comparing notes on our English/Australian families. Hugely respected and loved as all the memories posted here testify. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Piers was an amazing colleague and a very good friend. He was always in good mood and people liked being around him. I miss our frequent discussions on Spurs vs Chelsea, on the latest action oriented TV show, and of course on the CLO market. I was deeply saddened to hear this news. Piers was a truly commendable man. Great humour, a sharp mind, well respected in the industry, admired by colleagues and a great conversationalist. Whenever bumping into each other around the office we would always regale about a random topic. Most recently we debated the best shirt and suit sellers in the city – Roderick Charles was his winner! Above all else, Piers was a real family man. I recall him proudly showing me a photo of his daughter as a mascot at his beloved Tottenham Hotspur. He clearly cherished his wife and daughters. My thoughts are with them, his wider family and friends. Piers will be sorely missed but lives on in our memories.
