Pierre Buguet

I was so sorry to hear that Pierre had passed away He taught me conversational French for many years and we enjoyed some wonderful wide ranging chats over so many years. He was so looking forward to his retirement in Spain: what a shame he did not live to enjoy it My sincerest condolences to his family I will miss him very much

So sad to find out Pierre passed away. I've known him for a good 25 years. We even discovered we had attended the same seminar held by French spiritual teacher Yvan Amar (RIP) some 30 years ago, before meeting on a nearly daily basis for more or less 7 years as Andrew Cohen's students in Paris and London. Then, our paths parted for a while, but we still managed to maintain a faint contact. About a year ago we started having a more regular exchange. Pierre shared with me his passion for Shiatsu and his upcoming plans to move to Spain and establish a kind of commune on his recently purchased land where people could practice shiatsu and other activities. His last post was on March 3rd. Only his unusual silence had me eventually start to investigate and then find out about his demise. Does anybody know the reasons of his death? I just know he got his first jab (AstraZeneca) at the end of February because he thought this was his only way out of the UK. Rest in peace Pierre !

I taught Pierre in his third year of training at the British School of Shiatsu-Do and I remember quite clearly the first time I taught him. He was quietly listening and then asked a question which showed deep curiosity and humour. I had to really think about how to answer him and as a teacher I feel these students are really valuable. He was very committed to his studies, gentle and humorous and so passionate about the work and was on a constant path of discovery with it. I have another very clear memory of standing with him in the sunlit studio in North London and giving him feedback about this Year Three project. It was an excellent piece of work which was beautifully presented and he had learnt much about the humility required of a practitioner and he was pleased I think, as we stood there and I gave him feedback on a project that really showed how much he had learnt and developed. Although Pierre and I never studied Shiatsu together we kept in touch and he used to let me know about interesting workshops. There was something very sincere about him and I felt like he was someone I knew for a long time. I'm grateful that I had an opportunity to treat him for my last shintai clinic in summer 2019. His passion, curiosity and dedication towards bodywork was so admirable and something I really respect about him. I'm very shocked to hear this news. I have no doubt he has touched lot of people. I hope his soul finds safe and happy place to be at peace. Eli x

I met Pierre through Seiki. His passion for learning amazed me. We did Seiki swaps and always ended up in deep discussion. I lost touch with him in this last year and feel sad about that. I am still trying to digest that we will not meet up again.. at least in this life. Love and peace to you Pierre. Frankie x

I think I was one of Pierre's first shiatsu teachers at the BSS. Over the years his dedication to his practise seem to deepen and deepen. His commitment to what he held dear as a way of life was palpable. The world is a better place for the input of reverence Pierre shared with the people and world around him.
