The legend that is Pierce Bolger was born in his beloved Ireland before moving to Purton when he was 18 to work with his Aunt Kate and Uncle Fred in the Angel. He met his wife Ruth in Highworth and after a short stint living in Swindon, they moved into the Red House which is where most people grew to know and love him. The kindest soul you will ever meet, and a one in a million sense of humour

I have only today found out about the passing of Pierce. I remember him as kind and very funny. I had some great times with his family many moons ago. My sincere condolences to Ruth and his girls. RIP.
