Dear Wells Family, I fondly remember our youth spent playing backyard cricket, basketball, footy, nintendo and the countless sleep overs at each other's houses. Even picking up the bins and pitches at Kettle Park was fun in your company. Even though I have been away for many years, Pete always made the effort to come and say hello when I came to town with a warm smile, a handshake and genuine warmth. An absolute legend of a human being. The bond between our families has stood the test of time, may it continue into the next life. Deepest condolences for your loss. Always, Andrew

I was shocked and saddened when advised of Peter's death. Our parents were great mates in Mackay and I remember quite vividly the nights at the Wells's household in the 1960's when our parents played penny poker and the kids entertained ourselves playing fiddlesticks and listening to Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis-- amongst other things. Beth and I and brother Greg and our families offer our sincere condolences to Kerry and the wider Wells family. A life tragically cut short.

We were both saddened to hear of the passing of Peter. Kerry, I have many good memories of my time working with you and Peter at his accounting practice back in the early 1990s. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. Marianne Cox

Thanks for the live stream of Peter's funeral. Peen Hua and I felt privileged to have shared with Kerry, Todd, Jason, Lachlan and families in his life and their life together. Peter was a champion and he was supported by a champion family. Kerry taking the boys to school cricket on Friday afternoon is a fond memory (the Tarago was put to good use). I hope Peter can find a place for me in his greatest cricket game which he has probably organised already. I'm making preparations to raise a glass which will be an honour. His legacy will be long remembered by those who knew him.

Deepest sympathy to you all! So blessed to have known this man who we call Uncle Peter. You will be surely missed. XO
