Peter Scarlett

My dad was genuinely the best person I’ll ever have known, as so many have expressed on here, a true gentleman through and through with the best sense of humour that will never leave me. It brings me a lot of comfort reading through the many lovely messages on here and I have chosen some extracts that I will be reading at his memorial service on 8th October. Thank you for all of your messages, Dad would have loved them. We’ll make sure he is forever remembered.

Sandie and I were discussing old days, and about Peter, when he worked with us In Pimlico Properties in the 80's, our memories of him are of a much younger Peter, and learning of his death has been a shock, he will long be missed and remembered with great fondness.

I’ve just learnt of Peters passing. We were friends many years ago and Peter was best man at my wedding in Sweden, a more generous decent funny man I’ll never know. Absolutely floored and saddened. If possible could James ( brother contact me) Rest in peace Peter. The worlds a lesser place without you.

So sorry to hear of Peter’s sudden death. It was a pleasure to have worked with him and I will always remember him fondly. My thoughts are with the family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Peter's passing. He was greatly respected in Dorset Council - a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
