Peres Ateng' Agina

The late Peres Ateng Agina was born in 1920, in Ukaya Village, North Gem Maliera - formerly Siaya District. She was the daughter of the late Mzee Luka Oduol Oyoo & Mama Loise Okwiri ( Nyokaka). She was married to Barnaba Olwitchi Agina, co-wife to Eunia Adede and Perina Ongule all departed. Mother to advocate Ojwang Agina, Eng. Israel Agina, James Munga (late) and Elly Onganya Agina (late). Sister to John Robert Alando, Manoah Ojwang, W.F.F Sibondo, B.F.F Oluande K'Oduol, Joash Otuoma, Elly Odero, Daniel Orieyo, Odhuno, Francis Odaga, Lorna Ayuko & Omulo. Niece to Rasto Ateng Oyoo, Joshua Ochieng Oyoo, Elliah Otieno Oyoo, & Michael Oduge Oyoo. She was mother-in-law to Mereso Sane, Etheltruda Obunde, the late Elizabeth Obunde, and the late Phoebe Omoro. The late Peres Ateng Agina was a loving grandmother to Senteu Agina, Salvador Agina, Julian Munga, Che-Guevara Agina, Mosa Agina, Sane Agina, Victor Agina, Loice Munga, Kezia Munga, Aby Agina, Olwitchi Parpai Agina, Oki Agina, Ezekiel Munga, Elizabeth Agina, Franklin Agina, Peres Agina, and the late Nahashon Omoro. She is remembered as a great-grandmother by many. The burial ceremony will be conducted at her home in Sihonga village, Got Regea, Gem - Siaya County on 7th May 2023.
