Though you are no longer here, your memory lives on in every moment we shared and every life you touched. You were a remarkable person, and I will forever carry your spirit in my heart. Rest in peace Patrick and know you will never be forgotten.

It was a privilege to have met Mr P Cavalot. Condolences to the family from Jacquelie and Pierre Brunet (Bonanza) of Mauritius Studio in Sydney.

I had the honour of interviewing Patrick for the Mauritian program of radio 3ZZZ when he took up his post of High Commissioner in Canberra in 2016, and a few other occasions before his return to Mauritius. Patrick made a profound impression within the diaspora during his time here. We were sorry to see him leave us then and deeply sad for his passing. Rest in peace Patrick.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of High Commissioner Patrick. It was truly an honor to have worked with him. He was not only kind but also a wonderful person to collaborate with, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. Thank you for bringing the Mauritian diaspora together during your time as the High Commissioner. From the open day in Canberra, Mauritian-style picnic & entertainment, to celebrate our Independence Day & singing “La main dans la main…” to getting down and “tousse sali” at the Mauritian functions. You will be fondly remembered not only as a wonderful High Commissioner, but all round gentleman. On a personal front, a beautiful friendship came from your time here, which extended to our families. You’ll be missed Patrick. May your soul rests in peace
