Pastor (Dr) Thomas Ifeanyichukwu Timothy Okpalugo

I was wondering why I haven't heard for quite a while from Thomas. Now, I am shocked and sad to read that Thomas' is not with us anyomore. We lived together for about 1,5 years in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, until I left the country. Thomas was a good friend to me. We become acquainted in 1999 at UU / NIBEC. I have hardly met a more God-fearing person than Thomas and learnt quite a bit from him in terms of true belief. It will remain a mystery to me why Thomas, of all people, was taken home so early by our Lord. Actually, I wanted to visit Thomas in Scottland for a long time. It's too late now. My sincere condolences to his wife, four children,and many sisters and brothers.

It is better to be late than never. Thomas Okpalugo was my class mate and we graduated as 1994 BDS class of the University of Ibadan. I was just getting to know now in an effort to trace his whereabout after many years of our departure from UI. Thomas , you were quite a good friend and a gentleman. May your soul rest in peace. My Pastor, thank you for your labour of love over your student congregation and the souls in Dundee. We are assured that God used you to plant a seed in the lives of Dundonians, especially during the weekly evangelism outreach on Saturday afternoon at the City Centre. It was an experience indeed! Thank God for using you to ignite in me the passion for souls. You were a man of service, always willing to pick us and drop us at our homes for services, during winter, summer or spring. It was your way of encouraging us. You led your family with strong Christian values and the lifestyle of Christ-like love permeated and reflected in our small congregation. Now the church at Dundee has grown and will keep growing - the vision and consecration of one man, charting unknown waters, doing the work of an evangelist, in season and out of season. We miss you Pastor Tom but God loves you more. Till we meet at Jesus' feet again. May God bless, keep and reward the family you left behind. Amen

I remembered those days we were in Agulu boys. It seems no body will ever die because of the strength of youth in us. We all were like one family, we do every thing together, we all laugh together, we eat together, we study together, we shared each others pain together until we graduated and went our various ways to pursue our different goals in life. Some were fast to achieve theirs, some were slow, others missed their route some fall along the road. Life is a mystery.May the Good Lord grant Tom eternal rest. Tributes of Members Of Agulu Grammar School 1984 Class To Thomas Ifeanyichukwu Okpalugo The man that almost everyone in the class asked after, at the inception of our reunion, without clues to his whereabout, now appears to us less than one week after his demise though in ghost only; was only possible because his spirit has been with us while he lived but there was no physical contact to direct his flesh. Tom, your classmates missed you with great pains. We wanted to know how you fared owing to the love we shared while at Agulu Boy's High School viz a viz your health challenges as it were. I welcome you to our class group first and foremost because you are in our midst now. For the journey you have just started, it's the way of all men and we bid you farewell until such time as the Lord deems fit to cause us to meet again never to separate anymore. Working with Pastor Tom was a privilege and honour that I'll ever cherish. His love fir God and the truth was amazing. His courage to stand and speak up for his moral and spiritual convictions are noteworthy. His sacrifice for the work of Christ was not driven by gains or profits but for his love for Christ his Lord and Saviour. I will miss him personally and In God's vineyard and service. I know he's in a better place now as he served the Lord faithfully till he was called home. May God grant the family and the church the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Pastor Tom, as we fondly called you, was an Evangelist to the core. Thank GOD for your zeal and passion for soul-winning that drove you in abandoning your job in Glasgow to take up the pastoral work in Dundee, and you worked tirelessly with your young family to grow the Church there with your regular evangelistic outreaches. You are such a humble, gentle and lovely brother to work with. Pastor Tom, it is sad to see you go, but we take solace and comfort in our Lord Jesus Christ, that you have gone to a better place to rest and receive your rewards for your toiling and labour for the expansion of God's Kingdom on earth. May GOD grant your lovely wife with the children the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss which is Heaven's gain. Sleep on my beloved.
