Dan and family, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your dearly beloved one. A husband and father wear so many hats and one of them is called love, this one he never takes off and I'm sure he wore it the very last moment. So too, I wanted to offer what comfort and love I have learned to appreciate from Gods word and in turn I hope it gives comfort and peace to your hearts, too. It's found in Revelation 21:4. It reads: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." It is very comforting to know that God has in store to not only reunite us with our loved ones, but even to abolish death forever! This way we never have to be apart from not only our heavenly father, but we never have to be apart from our beloved ones, too. My dearest condolences to all of your family!

I never had the pleasure of meeting your father, but knowing you I am certain he was a good and cherished Husband, Father, and Friend. I never cared for goodbyes. I don’t say good bye to those I love. I say something like ‘The next time we see each other...’. There is a heaven, and in terms of the soul, passing is not final. Our faith is what settles us and provides peace in difficult times. There is no doubt that the Lord has accepted and embraced your father. The warmest thoughts, wishes, and prayers of Emily and I are with you, and the entire Nichols family.

Truly sorry to hear about your dad passing Dan and Colleen! Nobody is truly ready to say goodbye to a family member. I am thinking about you guys and your family during this tough time.
