Nik Devlin

Nik - the finest of our class of 1975 St Pat's School Dalkey. You were the life and soul of our class and I have spoken to many of our class, now scattered across the globe. all remember your smile and your fascination and curiosity with life in general. We are all so happy that you were happy and so successful in London. Rest in peace old friend. Our love to your mum, dad, sister, brother-in-law and nephew. Niamh, Michelle, Nicky, Johnny, Niall, Belinda and Vanya.

One year on and I remember Nik even more vividly than when we were both here. A lovely guy, though usually with good humour complaining about something and giving me grief about my emails. He had a style all of his own, vibrant, colourful shirts, contrasting varnish on toe and finger nails: green, black - it was his style; strange taste in music, collector of comics. Passionate about his bees and devastated when most of them had died and needed to be replaced. RIP Nik, you will never be forgotten

I am Nik's Mum. Thank you for your pen pictures of our lovely son .. I can see how much he was appreciated and am most grateful for your words. We are heartbroken and will never get over losing our son far far too early. We should have gone first, not Nik. He was such a good friend to us. There is a great big hole in our lives.

To all Nik's work colleagues at AKT II - thank you so much for your beautiful tributes about my big brother. I really appreciate your memories and condolences. We miss him so much. Petra xxx

My deepest condolences to all of Nik's family and friends. I'd like to think he counted me as one of the latter... I had many wonderful and enlightening talks with him about travel, food, ecology, art, beer - and then longer, geekier conversations about films, science fiction, weird niche types of music, and more subjects beyond. He had so many interests and experiences, and it made him a fun and fascinating person to be around. I will miss him a lot.

Always enjoyed chatting with Nik about food and travel, his knowledge and passion for both knew no bounds! He will be missed at AKT. Thoughts and best wishes with his family and friends.

There was never a boring moment when with Nik whether that was in the office or in the pub. An incredibly well traveled and educated man who could strike a conversation about anything with anyone. I still have some smoky chillis he brought into the office due to an excess purchase and he generously gave them away. Such a passionate guy about so many different aspects of life who will be sorely missed by the world. May you be passing on that enthusiasm Nik to the other world. It was wonderful knowing you.
