Amy joined the CenterLight family almost 20 years ago when she started as a Certified Nurse's Aide and Medical Interpreter for the Margaret Tietz nursing home. She performs this role for 13 years, providing care to their many residents. Amy then transferred to the PACE program, where she started off as a Program Assistant. Amy conducted her job with lots of love, making sure our participants were happy, and all of their needs were covered. Throughout the almost seven years she spent in this role, participants grew close to Amy, built great trust in her, and knew that they could come to her for anything. Amy always had participants’ needs and safety as her first priority, which showed her passion for her work and strong bond with them. Amy continued her growth in CenterLight when she transitioned to a new role as a Home Service Manager, and a year after to a Participant Experience Manager. Amy wanted to continue her calling in making sure participants were happy and cared for. This calling made her the perfect candidate for these roles. Not only could participants count on Amy, but the rest of the staff knew that they could count on Amy for anything as well. Her colleagues respected and cared about Amy because they felt the genuine soul that she was. Amy cared for every single person, and it showed clearly in her daily actions and her conversations with everyone. We are terribly sad to see her go so early, as she touched every person she was in contact with, showing her compassion, positivity, and how much she cared. We will miss you!!!

Still breaks my hart knowing you left us. I remember five years ago when i started working in CenterLight and visit the Flushing site Amy was the first person that greeted me and took the time to take me around to show me the participants and the rest of the site. Right at that moment I felt the great spirit Amy was and how much love she put into her work which surrounded our participants. Right at that moment i saw how much our participant connected with Amy and see the bond they have build. Few years went by and our path cross again when Amy came to join the Participant Experience Team and we started working together which i was very happy for it. Every time we met i felt her compassion, her love for our participants, her humbleness, all of these attributes that are rare to find in someone. When I knew that Amy left us so early my hard broke, she touch my life and that is something i will always be grateful for. May you rest in peace and I wish lots of strength for your loved ones. Will miss you, Brian.

I can truly say that I had never met someone before quite like Amy. I first met Amy several years ago when filming a video project at the Flushing PACE center where she was working as a PA. We were there to film participants and we needed help from the staff to get their participation in the project. There was only one person who had the charm, personal connection, trust, and comforting tone to help talk to our participants--and that was Amy. The leadership at the site insisted that we ask Amy for help as it was going to be a guarantee for success. And they were right. I was dazzled by Amy's charisma and humility (a combination you don't often see) and appreciated everything she did to help us. She dropped whatever she was doing to be assist our production about two dozen times during the day. Since then, I was overjoyed to have her be a part of the Market Engagement team and continue providing her care and support as a Participant Experience Manager. She made a tremendous impact in such a short amount of time--which I can also say about her life overall. We will miss you forever. My sincerest condolences to all of Amy's family and loved ones. During my very short time knowing Amy, she has inspired me in so many different ways. She was a gentle, spiritual soul who touched every participant, colleague and even stranger that came to her path. I remember the joyful conversation we had about Brazil in the stairway in Flushing, the exchange of ideas on how we could promote PACE in the Chinese community, and my last face to face visit with her at Elmhurst ICU. The first thing she asked was how's everyone at work. Amy, I will never forget your kindness and you have left such a legacy. I know you are up there watching and smiling at us every day. RIP.

Amy was one of the most kindest, caring person I have met. She always put the participants first, she went above and beyond to help anyone she could. Everyone knew they could rely and count on Amy, she was always there. Amy would help any participant or colleague before helping herself, this is how giving she was. Amy, you gave me some coffee that you got on your wonderful vacation to Brazil and I have recently brewed it in honor of you. I am so deeply saddened to hear about your passing and my heart aches, I wish I could see you one last time and tell you how wonderful of a person you are. The Flushing team misses you dearly and we will never forget you. I hope you are resting peacefully now Amy.

Amy was a very caring individual who went out of her to to help others. She was so easy to get along with. Such a beautiful soul gone too soon. My sincere condolences to the family.
