Nichara, J, Nichy, Johnson, Johnno, Chara, teacher extraordinaire was a vibrant and enthusiastic individual who went beyond the call of duty for her students, family and friends. Her commitment to education was seen in the many achievements of the numerous scholarships attained by her students. Nichara was a woman of God, comedian and displayed a high level of excellence.

There was never a dull moment around you. I am going to miss you stopping by my classroom to check to see if I was okay. I am going to miss your words of wisdom and your ability to see the glass half full. You will forever be in my memories and heart.

I loved her strength , her persistence in betting students ready for exams. Her respect for everyone no matter their stature or status. Always on point on advoce she gives. Very inciteful and discerning. Calm spirited, endearing, pleasant and genuinely concerned for other. She was a role model and very Christ oriented. May her soul rest in Peace.

On behalf of the Western Carolina University 2007 to 2009 group I extend condolences to the family of our friend and colleague. We are sadden by her passing but we take comfort in knowing that the word of God says blessed are those who die in Christ. Today, we choose to remember Nichara in a happy way. We reminisce her contagious laughter, her no nonsense personality and above all her passion for Christ. She has left a powerful legacy behind and I encourage her husband and children especially, to embrace those good memories and prepare to meet her when our Lord returns.

Miss Johnson, where do I begin...teacher extradonaire. I remember when my daughter Kayla went into your grade 6 class even when she herself had doubts you helped her propelled in her studies. When I had resigned my job and was awaiting papers to travel abroad, I would use my spare time and sit in on your classes anytime. You were very great company. You will definitely be missed.
