Millicent "Millie" Yawsachie

Messages were received from colleagues and shared during the employee meeting held October 8. Staff expressed their thoughts, feelings and the ways in which Millie impacted their lives . Please find the sentiments below: From Rhona Lawson: Since hearing the devastating news about Millie I have had her beautiful face with her wonderful smile locked in my head and have been thinking back over all the years I have known her since meeting her in the MTD department in Chalfont. I know you are looking to receive memories that we have of her and although I have many stories I just wanted to write down everything that comes to mind right now when I think of Millie. She was so kind, considerate and caring and had the most brilliant and contagious laugh. She adored her little dog, Peanut (the Pomerenian) and had a sweet tooth (her baked apple cake was divine!). I would always ask her what she was having for breakfast in the morning on Teams and it was always something different and exciting compared to my standard, daily porridge! She was so sweet natured, calm and collected and always immaculately presented! She loved her clothes and handbags and I do always remember the regular arrival of parcels for her at the Chalfont office and her receiving the call to go down to reception to collect the latest addition to her fashion collection. Just writing this is making me smile and cry at the same time. She didn’t ask for much in this life and just wanted to find that one love and have a family of her own. She clearly had a wonderful family and adored each and everyone of them. She enjoyed the church she had found and was actively involved in that and it was a big part of her life outside of work. She deserved so much more from this world and clearly touched and enriched the lives of so many in her 31 years. I hope she knows how much she was loved by so many and I always try to be a ‘bit more Millie’ by keeping calm, keeping my head down and getting on with things

Millie will be remembered for being a good person with an amazing heart. She always wore a beautiful smile and had the most girly laugh. She always saw the best in everyone and was very positive about life. Due to COVID and her move back home, we didn’t always keep in contact. However, I knew whenever she was in London we would make time to meet up and it was if we had always been in contact. I know she will be missed by many. Xxxxxx

Millie was the first person I met at church and she welcomed me with open arms and really made every Sunday special. I loved spending time with her and talking about life. She was so positive and hopeful and full of love. I know that she is in heaven but her death is such a loss for everyone who knew her. I will miss you dearly Millie. I'm sending love to you and all your family.

I had lost touch with Millie since leaving RWS but nevertheless to hear news of her passing was shocking. I will always remember her as a bright, vivacious person, always with a huge smile and friendly words for everyone she met. My deepest condolences to her family, there are really no adequate words for such a loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Millie in the Chalfont St Peter office. I will always remember her contagious smile, cheeky sense of humour and her beautiful heart. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones in this difficult time.

Millie I remember the first time we met - my very first day at Hillsong when the Birmingham campus opened its doors. It was on a cold winter morning when I walked into the church building; I did not know anyone then. Your very big smile when you saw me made me feel warm and welcomed. By the end of the service I felt like I had a friend at church already! I met with you and your sister again and we had a lovely chat, and got to know a bit more about each other. Your exuberance, humility, warmth and smiles were remarkable. Am sure you now know what effect you had on people who attended church for the first time, if you didn’t know before. That was your Ministry Millie. Your body language ministered without you speaking! You touched so many people without you knowing! Am sure you had a great welcoming party in heaven, with lots of angels clapping and smiling just the way you did for us here. You have taught me a lesson I never realised until your passing - that my attitude/actions in my everyday life is also my ministry. You will be greatly missed my sister! It was a privilege knowing you, albeit for a short time. I pray that you Mum, sister and the rest of your family find peace, hope and comfort in the love of Jesus Christ. Rest in perfect peace Millie! Always in my heart ❤️

Millie was a vivacious person, beautiful on both the inside and outside, who lit up whatever room she happened to be in - you couldn't help but smile around her. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. She touched so many people's lives and will be truly missed. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this difficult time xx
