Michelle Bruneau

I can’t express enough just how much of a loss this is. To Michelle’s family and to our Security Clearance Office family at OPG. You hear the word “Family” used a lot, but in the case of the Clearance Office, it is the perfect description. The core of our office, including Michelle, has worked together for many years, and that core group, as well as those that we have been lucky enough to have join us for various amounts of time, never actually leave. They are always a part of our family. And none more prominent than Michelle. She touched everyone that came into contact with her. I can’t imagine the day when we all return to the office to work, and we can’t hear her laugh. Two things that immediately come to mind from our time working together: first is when we were looking after a project together for some time and we considered it our own “family business”. Her pride in her work was always evident, and it always set a high bar that I knew that I must reach as well. Not meeting Michelle’s standard was never an option! But despite any expectations or deadlines that we had to meet, Michelle was always positive. Second, and most importantly, as you can see from the many photos of our group events on this site, we always had our fun. That, I will miss the most. We had the most fun lunches in our group, and Michelle’s laugh was always a big part of that. Michelle and I also supported each other through illnesses that we had some years ago. That is something that I won’t forget. Much love and sadness.

This is very hard news to take. I have worked with Michelle since 2013 and we became best friends. She will always be in my heart. She was a very special and caring person and will be deeply missed.

Michelle started working with us in the Clearance Office in 2013. She was a fun, loving, caring and generous person who quickly bonded with everyone and became a member of the Clearance family. Michelle was also a very dedicated employee to OPG and to the Clearance Program and I will truly miss her both personally and professionally. All our hearts are broken. My deepest condolences to you Mark, Alicia and Nigel for your loss. May the special memories you each have of Michelle console you during this difficult time.

I attended Durham College with Michelle, way back when, and worked at Ontario Hydro with her. Always appreciated her easy going, fun nature. So sad to hear this news. Much prayer to her husband, kids and family.
