Your passing came as a shock. I fondly remember the time spent working with you in Church and all I can say is that you were more than a member of the church family; you were a true soldier whose life spoke of Jesus, Your kindness, humility and sincerity in your dealings with others left a lasting impression. Painful to know that your gentle presence, warmth and grace which you naturally carried would no longer be experienced. Yet, even in this pain, we are comforted by the assurance that your memory is blessed and you are with the Lord, the ONE you loved and served faithfully. I thank God for the gift of your Life and the example you were to me and many others. My prayer is that the Lord comforts all of us who feel this loss especially your beloved family. Rest On!

Like I said in our local church platform, we will miss you... particularly for your faith, optimism, humility and generosity. You're a rare breed that thrived in strengthening others, one in a million. If you're to be renamed, I will name you Barnabas...a son of encouragement indeed. I believe that you are in a better place where no pain or death can see you again.

TRIBUTE TO A BELOVED BROTHER, FRIEND AND FAITHFUL SOLDIER OF CHRIST The ministers, deacons, deaconesses and entire body of Assemblies of God Church Lekki, Ilasan/ Jakande Housing Estate Lekki Lagos, Lekki District were saddened to learn about the sudden home call of our beloved brother, Elder Mike Okodua to glory. He was a very lovely, God-fearing, gentle and friendly brother, whose faith in God was immeasurable.
