Melvin Gwanzura

Melvin I miss your wonderful smiling welcome every morning when we would both arrive at college at the same time. You had the rare gift of making people feel good and your positivity and sense of humour was an inspiration for us all. What is clear from the memories that your students have shared is the deep respect they had for you and your dedication to them and their learning was evident. I admired your contributions to meetings immensely and the way you would challenge anything that didn't seem right. RIP lovely Melvin. Love to Zion and your family.

Melvin, Death brings pain that time can only heal. No words can ease what i truly feel, coming into work and knowing you are not here with us. With God, the joy you shared with us is eternally sealed, So I believe that as we cherish your memories that death will not steal

The short time i had worked at St Charles, you were my light! I have no words to express the loss the world has faced. Melvin the short time I had known you, you were amazing! Rest in peace my friend.

I was not privileged to be taught by you during my time at St Charles but your positive and bright presence was felt throughout the college. You are a true inspiration and have changed the lives of countless people. May you Rest in Peace.

I am so sorry that you are gone. I cannot believe that we won't be able to share our stories anymore or be a dynamic team when marking. Your loss will be felt by so many, as the impact you had on the lives of others was huge. You were an absolute joy to be around and such an amazing friend. My heart breaks everytime i think about your passing. I wish it wasn't true. You were there for me when I was in need, as you were for others too. You were a confidant, a comedian, and an educator. Your students were always your focus. I loved your passion for teaching. It reinvigorated mine too. From the stories you would tell, it was clear the impact you had on their lives too. We met in 2017 and I knew then I had a friend for life. Even though you are gone, your impact on my life will there forever. Rest in everlasting peace, my friend. Xxx

Mr Gwanzura, you were my psychology teacher 2002-2004 and you gave me so much jokes. I loved your dramatic and unapologetic ways. I'm training to be a psychology teacher myself now and the teachers at my placement mentioned you, bringing back many fond memories. I had hoped to bump into you again, but I guess you have better places to be. You and your family are in my prayers, love Anne-Marie

Mr Gwanzura...Melvin... it absolutely breaks my heart knowing that you are gone. You were my Pyschology teacher almost 14 years ago now and I had the honour of becoming your colleague whilst I worked for St Charles in 2015 and also had the pleasure of seeing you occasionally in my local gym. You were one of the BEST teachers ever, simply unforgettable and for all the right reasons... such a positive ray of sunshine and energy and I will never forget how much you used to make me laugh and smile and many other students in our lessons. You had a heart of gold, your infectious smile lit up a room and I remember how much you loved your lovely hair :-) I am so so sorry you had to go so soon and the way you did. You didn't deserve this and it makes me so sad and angry that this happened to you but I know you are looking down on us all from the heavens and I pray you rest in eternal peace, wrapped in God's comfort and happiness.
