Mamadou Sarr

I was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Mr. Sarr. Although we only met virtually on several occasions, I always valued our thoughtful conversations and the insightful perspectives he shared. He will be profoundly missed. My sincere condolences to Nicole and the entire family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

TRIBUTE TO EL HADJI MAMADOU LANKANDOR SARR, THE EMBODIMENT OF HUMANITY! Dear colleagues, it is difficult for us to pay tribute to Mr. Mamadou SARR, a truly remarkable man whose positive influence transformed thousands of lives on a daily basis. His exemplary leadership created an environment where everyone could flourish and give their best. CorpsAfrica remains bereft of its best person, who has left us forever! May Allah grant him eternal Paradise. Over years, Mr. SARR showed us through CorpsAfrica that a cohesive team can achieve extraordinary results. His patience, attentive listening, empathy, and wise advice empowered many collaborators (both volunteers and alumni) to progress and achieve their most ambitious professional goals. I remember at CorpsAfrica Senegal, his office was always open, welcoming both successes and difficulties with the same kindness. This attitude established a culture based on trust and mutual respect, which values continue to inspire us every day in our respective families. El Hadji Mamadou SARR possesses the exceptional ability to recognize the unique potential in everyone. He cares to listen, understand, and encourage each individual to surpass their limits. His personal approach has enabled many of us to develop our soft skills and confidence to face the challenges of the professional field. Indeed, his generosity in sharing his experience and knowledge is reflected in his sincere commitment to human development. Moreover, the many successful projects under his leadership demonstrate his ability to federate teams around common goals. Furthermore, his positive influence extends far beyond the professional sphere, as the values he embodies, his integrity, and his authenticity have always inspired us to become better people, both professionally and personally. Finally, Mr. SARR remains and will always be the perfect example of mentorship that elevates everyone around him. Sad and devastated, his family, of which we are a part, will always pray for his soul to rest peacefully in “Janatul firdaws” after a glorious mission on Earth! To all, please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences. We deeply hope that his legacy will live on through the many people he inspired and guided during his lifetime. Alhamdulillah!

It was a pleasure to work alongside Mamadou for few months that I had the pleasure of doing so. He was a warm, gentle, and passionate leader who very clearly led by example. He'll be missed.

Je n’ai malheureusement pas eu la chance de le côtoyer longtemps, je l’ai juste rencontré lors du training of trainers pour le HCD center. Mais à la manière dont il a été accueilli par les Alumni, j’ai tout de suite su combien ils le portaient à cœur. Je retiens de lui le souvenir d’un homme dévoué et très déterminé, il disait être prêt à accompagner le centre, une mission qu’il ne terminera hélas jamais. Toutes mes condoléances à l’endroit de sa famille, de ses proches et à toute la famille CorpsAfrica. Puisse Dieu tout puissant lui accorder le paradis céleste.

It is with a heavy heart that I write these words to honor the memory and the legacy of Mamadou Sarr. I was privileged to cross path with him during my interview process for the CorpsAfrica deputy director position. I could immediately feel his humanity and high sense of purpose. Interracting with him over the course of my tenure was always a great pleasure. He was humble, yet full of substsnce. I extend my sincere condolences to the CorpsAfrica family especially the alumni and staff, all of whom regarded him as a father figure, a mentor and a true leader. May his legacy live on! Khaita
