Luca The

Luca The was an incredibly talented and loving man. Kind, strong, brave, and generous, he was surrounded by friends who loved and relied on him. A brilliant, authentic, and open-hearted musician, Luca sang for the past seven years as freelance tenor with opera and operetta companies such as Opera2day and the National Operetta. He also sang as a soloist for many different choirs such as the Amsterdam Opera Choir and the Haarlem Mixed Choir, and in Amare, DeLaMar Theater and the Philharmonie Haarlem. He was training at the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag. Keenly interested in protecting others and creating a just world, Luca held a Bachelor's degree in Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam and was working at the Juridisch Loket. Luca was also an accomplished fighter, claiming the title of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu European Champion in 2022. Luca had a close relationship with his grandparents before their passing and spent six years working as a caregiver for his grandfather. Luca is survived by his parents and brother, and by a community of close friends whose lives are forever changed in being touched by his.
