Lesa Clapp

Lesa and I were good friends for several years. We shared many lunches (before Covid-19), movie nights with popcorn, other snacks and drinks. Lesa made me laugh every time we were together or when speaking to each other by phone. She was a hard worker, never asked for help, but would gladly offer it. She is greatly missed but not forgotten. R.I.P my dear friend.

I talked to Lesa every morning during my shift at around 0500. We would greet each other with a typical "Good morning", Sometimes ask how the weather was...those type of things. She was a straight-shooter when it came to work. No gray area with her. That was work. During our downtime we would share things about ourselves. It would usually come up with something she would say and I would have a comeback from a song from the 60s or 70s to fill in the sentence. She was fascinated by that. She finally asked me, "Gary, how old are you?!" Lets just say we were within a few years of each other. One day we discussing something. She was talking about waves crashing against jaggy cliffs and I said "That reminds me of the opening for "Dark Shadows", a horror soap opera from the late 60s and 70s" She replied ";I loved that show." . On another occasion we were talking about parents or something or maybe it was antique cars and that is when she said her father loved to tinker with his antique cars. When she spoke of her father, I could see that is where she had learned how to be self-reliant. That was the Lesa I remember. It was a real tough day to come into work that morning and Lesa was not there. I was told she had not felt well the day before. I will cherish our morning chats. She will be missed but certainly not forgotten. I pray for Lesa and her family. Blessed are those who mourn. We were all truly blessed to have known Lesa. She will not be forgotten.

Lesa was indeed a steady and calming presence during so many early-morning shifts. Knowing that Lesa was on duty meant that any captioning issue I had would be dealt with quickly, calmly, and professionally — and, given the nature of her work, that speaks volumes. It was a comfort knowing that, should an issue arise, she could and would be counted on to adeptly handle it. Having Lesa on the early shift meant one less worry for the rest of us. She will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

My thoughts are with Lesa and her family, as I was saddened when I heard the news. She was always pleasant to interact with and helped me a lot with early morning scheduling requests that my clients often threw at us last minute. R.I.P.

I first met Lesa in the Dallas office. At the time, she was a voice writer. I believe she was one of the originals. Time has a way of sneaking up on me, so I can't give you a date I met her. I remember her walking down the halls of the office with her gear! She was a no nonsense gal. If you did not want the truth, you better not ask her the question. She eventually went remote, and at some point, became a full time scheduler. I started working with her during the early hours of the morning. Lesa was my early morning work buddy! Whenever I needed her or she needed me, we always worked together. She was kind, honest and had an amazing work ethic. She made me laugh often and she always rose to a challenge. Knowing she was there is the mornings, gave me a sense of calm. She was so easy to work with. We were also Facebook buddies. She posted some of the most beautiful nature pictures. My personal favorite were the unique pictures of birds. One of her last pictures were hummingbirds. It was a precious photo! So, here's to Lesa! I am going to miss her tremendously! Farewell my friend!

I am so very sorry for Lesa's family and friends loss. My heart hurts for you all. Lesa meant the world to me and will be missed!

Lesa was one of my favorite early-morning work buddies. I was usually up early for voice-writing overtime before my marketing shift. She'd have a question about the marketing stuff and it would devolve into making fun of ourselves, technology or whatever was on our minds. I'd tell her "LESA, I HAVE TOLD YOU THIS BEFORE" when she asked something about my stations we'd laugh, always in good fun. She will be greatly missed.
