Les Little

Les Little (Washington). Died peacefully in hospital on 24th October 2017, aged 81 years, very much loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother-in-law. Les was ‘Little’ by name but a man of huge stature who has fought a brave fight. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends.

We only became members of the IAM group recently. Our first meeting was a little daunting and when we arrived the first person to come over and welcome us was Les. We won't forget that he took the time to make us feel welcome and part of the group. He was a genuinely nice friendly man and we're sorry that we didn't have the chance to get know him better.

It is with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Les. I knew Les from my relatively short period on the committee of the Newcastle Group of the IAM. Les had positive attitude to the matters that we dealt with and I consider myself privileged to have known him. I send best wishes to his family and those other who were close to Les.
