I had the pleasure of working at Dr. Robert Thornton with Lee for many years. I have many fond memories of when I could bring my Kindergarten students down to see the intermediate science projects. Lee gave so much to our kids and to the staff at Thornton. My heart breaks for Christa, and his beautiful boys Nathan and Ryan and for their families. Lee's loss will be felt by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Lee, you were such an amazing teacher and you’re also ready so missed at Thornton! Going back this week, it just didn’t feel the same. You will be deeply missed, sending love to your family

I remember Lee as a fellow student who found joy in singing at Anderson CVI. He was athletic, but also enjoyed singing in the choir. I am incredibly saddened to hear of this news. Please accept my sincere condolences on his tragic passing. May the Lord comfort his family in the days ahead..

Nathan I taught you in Kindergarten and I remember you and your family fondly. The connection you had with you mom, brother and Dad was inspiring. Your dad was an incredible man. I can remember countless times talking to him about all the wonder adventures he was having with you. He was such a caring and loving father and husband. He evened when talking about you. He was very proud of you.

Mr. Hruska was an incredible person all around. He loved his family and was so dedicated to his job as an educator. He truly wanted the best for them all and would do anything he could to ensure everyone in his life was well cared for. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and everyone who had the chance to know him. He will be dearly missed! Thank you for everything!

He wasn't my homeroom teacher, but I still had so many chances to connect with him and learn from him because that was the type of man that he always was. My condolences go out to everyone who knew him, especially his family and loved ones. I'm very sorry for this world's loss
