On behalf of Stephen Poon: Hi Giselle & CS Family, Thank you for allowing us to join such a warm and touching session in memory of CS. I graduated from HKU in 1967, two years after CS, same year as Jo Ho, Eddie Tong, Simon Kwan, SH Pau, CF Hui, PC Wong and several others. We are all saddened by CS sudden departure, and we offer you all our deepest condolences. It was great to see old school mates (like 曾大仙）and former colleagues ( like Haeda Barma) whom I haven’t seen for ages. My warmest regards to you all! FROM LETICIA WYPART: My last visit to Hongkong in November 2016 when Lester and Peggy hosted dinners and lunch with the family. I will always cherish the happy memories of our frienship which started in 1970 in Hongkong and continued in the Philippines and in Switzerland. Though they are gone but happily together in heaven, I wish to assure you Giselle and Georgette, Joe & Evie that I will see you whenever I go to Hongkong or whenever you come to Switzerland. Hello, buddies. Peggy and Ah Choy. My husband and I are happy for you two as each of you had a full life; and are reuniting in the heaven within months. On the other hand, we were shocked to death to learn the news from Giselle. I was lucky enough to have a brief telephone call with you, Ah Choy, before you were admitted to the hospital. I also received your WhatsApp text while you were in the hospital days later. 53 years ago, Paul and I were so honored to be part of your wedding ceremony. Being the best man and bridesmaid on the most important event of your life, we were more than happy not only be your life long friends. Ah Choy was a loving, patient and smart husband to Peggy; father to Giselle, Georgette and Joe; grand pa to Evie. Many times, Peggy and I had annoyed him while he was driving us but he never said a word. Reason being was when we two women with high pitch voice were together we had endless talks. The more we talked, the louder the voice it would be like stereo to his ears and not music to his ears. Those were the unforgettable happy days and fond memories. In the starry, starry nights, I see a couple of twinkle, twinkle little stars, I know you two are watching us smilingly. In the Summer days, I see a couple of carefree beautiful butterflies, I know you are happily dancing in the sky. This is what I feel how much you two are close to me. To our beloved Peggy and Ah Choy: When a person becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. You two are the treasures in our hearts forever and ever. From Haider and Tarifa Bharma: Dear Giselle and Georgette, As I mentioned on the phone earlier, I only learnt of your dad’s passing from David Liang this morning . Once again my deepest condolences. Your dad was a true gentleman of the old school. A very dear friend whom I shall miss but remember fondly….in particular our Sunday morning tennis games over the years. Uncle Lester was such a kind, generous man who carried himself with dignity and was unfailingly good natured towards me as a kid on my visits to Hong Kong. I am so thankful to have known him.
