LaVerne Gill

Rev. LaVerne McCain Gill, 74, is survived by her husband, Dr. Tepper Gill; three children; her mother, Mary Williams, and a brother of Washington, D.C. Pastor Marcus Leathers said that LaVerne’s “passion for justice, liberation and education were evident in the books she authored and the sermons that she preached. At United Christian Parish, LaVerne was more than a presence, she was a force who was constantly at work through us, and on behalf of all of us, and we celebrate her work that will always remain with us.”
