They say, it doesn’t take much to be kind and yet, it takes so much to be consistent in kindness. Oftentimes, the acts in themselves might seem simple enough to ideally be capable of conception by anyone. The difficulty however in manifesting kindness lies in the genuineness of the heart responsible for its execution and that’s where Daddy Ahadzi stood out. During my childhood days, he was single-handedly responsible for literally more than fifty percent of the times I wore a smile on my face. Whether through a Christmas or Easter party invitation, our regular ice-cream times (after running around playing all kinds of games with Dzifa, Eyram, and Klenam all afternoon especially during holidays), the papaye Eyram often delivered from him…, his raising of God-fearing down-to-earth children and so on. As an adult man, I know better now; that, he didn’t engage in all that because he had a pool of limitless resources he was drawing from but rather, because kindness and love was at the core of his very existence. I’ll forever remember him as the man that did his best to put a smile on my face during a very challenging period. May you rest in the perfect peace of our Lord Jesus Christ and may all your good deeds testify in your favour.

Reflecting back on the pages of life, my heart is filled with pleasant memories of Daddy's prints of kindness and generosity. Daddy treated me like family and not as a neighbour. The little driving turns we had as children when he was coming back from work. Gifts of candies, cakes, ice cream, money to church, the beaches and not to talk of all the opportunities to have a home full of joy and love to always run to without being criticised. I must say those memories are priceless and will forever linger on in my heart. Daddy I hope you are in a better position now to know how much you are valued, and appreciated without having to say it. You were a gift from God and the best dad. Although you are not visible you are alive in our heart and have just gone to rest. I thank God for blessing me with such a humble and simple daddy. I know how best to treat my neighbours children some day. The peace of God forever sail the family through your departure and keep the family in that bond of unity and love.
