Kodwo Afedzi-Mensah was the great patriarch of the Afedzi -Mensah family. Affectionately known in private life as Uncle Kodwo, he was a witty, humorous man, an avid sports- man and a firm believer in all things lovely and of good report. A trained administrator, he was a human resource manager, consultant and founder of Afedzi -Hostel services, UCC. He was the husband of Mary BaaBa Afedzi Mensah and the worlds greatest daddy to me!

Aww Uncle Kodwo I cried a lot today! Mr. Kodwo Mensah, COPA of Tarkwa Goldfields...today I realised u were also called Albert O'Brien....it was you who introduced our family to video deck, and we watched Sound of Music, Live and let's die, etc etc. Your big beautiful house up the hill in Tarkwa, etc etc. The memories....our well being, development was always important to you! You cheered us on even to your last, your gentle calm voice and personality...rest in peace in the Lord. We miss u and love u
